SONOMA: Two Days to Go

ye Gods

can I really do it?

oh well,
so far eight maybe ten boxes
of books and cd's and dvd's shipped
out to friends
and people I'm going to stay with

and stuff giving away
to Vineyard Services Workers
and kids
and friends
and Bon Marche thrift store


and still:
more to pack
more to move here and there


and always
always
if i breathe
and come
back to the five lines:
two arms
two legs
one spine

I can be kind of happy
in the midst
of the story swirling in my
head
the
"I can't get it all done"
story

you know
that one

all
along this choice:
to be thrilled
with
NOT KNOWING

or to be scared


and of course
when I/ we
realize that choice
it's not really
a big decision

is it?
